We spent Halloween with my nieces and Grandpa/Mimi - it was a perfect day! Here's Regan as a disco chic, the wig only lasted about 5 minutes! (I don't know what the gang signs are about)

Pumpkin Patch (2nd attempt)

On Saturday we attempted the Argyle pumpkin patch but ended up getting our car stuck in the mud .... then, after finally making our way into the patch a young girl came up to us and said "uh, did you pay to get in?" We answered, "no, we didn't see anyone asking us for money?" and the girl said, "uh, you need to walk all the way around and pay." We decided it was not meant to be and got in our muddy car and went out to eat instead. Then, Sunday morning we hit the Flower Mound patch .... it was perfect! Picture posting did not go so well, consider the anti-chronological nature a brain teeser for you.

So back to the pumpkin patch (look alive out there) .... he LOVED the pumpkin house

Daddy's been taking Jacob on walks at night to help wear him out for a good night sleep .... and bonus, he found a yellow balloon!

Jacob put on daddy's work shoes and tap-danced around the kitchen, it was very cute.

He was oh so proud of himself! (the spots on his shirt are green beans)

Then, not even 5 minutes later .... he stood on his truck to un-lock the front door. We're in trouble when he realizes he can open the door handle. Next home project ..... more locks on front door.

News

So I think I've mostly spread the news, but I've been wanting to post it ...... I'm pregnant!!! About 8 weeks to be exact. We are so very excited, due date is May 14th. I've been feeling pretty icky, much more nausea than last time ... but Jacob has been great about momma being so lazy. To think I could have gotten away with being lazy all this time!

I've already got me a little baby bump, more like a baby bulge. I'm digging it. Unlike last time, I am EMBRACING maternity clothes, more like RUNNING to them. Bring on the comfy, stretchy pants! I just hate the way they make your buttox look ... I mean c'mon ladies, let's be honest - who enjoys having their back and buttox combined into one body part. Last time I fought a good fight, but eventually surrendered due to the buttoning and un-bottoning my pants everytime I got up from my desk. Common questions: Yep, it was planned .... and yep, we'll find out the gender. I truly don't care if it's a boy or a girl. Love being a boy mom, but putting dresses on a little girl would be pretty cool. I think clothes shopping for little girls is more fun, but toy shopping for boys is more fun. It's a wash!

We have been working on names (we're ready this time!) and have pretty strong ideas on both, but I don't want to post them just yet in case we change our minds!

So I was cleaning out Jacob's closet and realized I had gathered every pair of shoes he has owned, thought I'd document .... not that this is interesting and sentimental to anybody but me!

My niece Kenzie .... she speant the nite with us, we had a blast. She's always such a big help with Jacob and of course Jacob idolizes her!

My beautiful niece Alyssa, Jacob calls her La-la (the one smiling in the pic), turned 10 yesterday and we celebrated with her favorite dinner ..... homemade chicken and dumplings. It was very yummy! I can't believe she is ten .... I lived with my sister and bro-n-law right out of college and used to play peek-a-boo with her when she was one!

My nieces just got a pet guinnea pig named Talluleh .... Jacob called him a "rat" ... and tried to step on him. Then tried to kiss him. I didn't know those things were so cute!
