Update

Been a while! I have "mentally" blogged several times .... but just never turned on the computer. Alas, where to begin! We have been in Houston for 4.5 months and I'd say it's going pretty well. Before we moved, whenever I would tell people that we were moving to Houston, they would ALWAYS say that it is more laid back than DFW, nice people and bad climate. Well it's definitely more laid back than Dallas and has nice people and TBD on the climate. Ask me in two months! I'm praying the mosquitos don't carry little Addie Jude off. I feel like we've come really far in our adjustment ....... to take us back, we learned/decided that we were moving to Houston last year when I was eight months pregnant. It was a tough decision, but once it was made ... we were excited! My only request was that Addie was at least three months old before me and the kids moved. Speaking of Addie Jude, poor little baby girl was in the NICU for five days after being born .... she had some lung issues and some blood trapped between her brain and skull. It was a very scary time ..... she was intibated, lots of wires and tubes. I only have one or two pictures of her left in the NICU, I deleted most of them because I never want to see my baby that helpless again .... it was completely awful. We finally got to take her home and hit a few bumps with feedings and reflux ..... but this time we were seasoned veterans! Then, to speed this along to current time more quickly ...... Jason had to move to Houston ahead of us to start his new job and stay in an apartment when Addie Jude was 7 weeks old. So, I had a two year old and seven week old in a house that was up for sell ..... by myself (Jason would drive home after work Friday and leave early Sunday). If you enjoy your sanity, it is not recommended you try this ;-) Seriously though, that's up there with one of the hardest things I've ever done! Luckily we were out of the house in five weeks .... then we started the Summer Tour of 2010. Me and the kids lived with Jason's parents, visited Jason in his apartment and stayed with my sister ....... which took up 2.5 months. Then alas ..... we closed on our new house on September 15th! So at some point we figured what the hell .... along with the newborn and move, let's throw in a home remodel. So, to try and give you a mental image of our big move-in day ...... let me list all the people we had at our new house at the SAME TIME: Cleaning people (house was a mess!), Movers, Satellite Guy, Phone Guy, Granite Guy (to fix his mistake), Tile Guys (to fix their numerous mistakes) and Refrigerator Delivery Guys. Jason did a great job managing the circus .... I tried to drive the kids around and check-in to help. Man, we have adjusted a lot since then!

Back to current times .... Addie Jude is 9 months old and Jacob is three ..... and they are just beautiful! My absolute favorite thing to do is watch them play together. We still have to make sure Jacob "plays gentle" ...... but they each follow the other one around. Jacob loves Mother's Day Out and we frequent the neighborhood park often. Addie Jude is proving to be silly, just like her brother .....and I think she looks just like me! Red curly hair and all.

I could go on and on about my babies ..... but is anyone even awake after the novel I just wrote? I have so many pictures to upload .... but I keep getting an error message, I'll get around to it soon .... before my kids are in college!

So sorry to hear about Addie Jude. I know how incredibly difficult that is... babies and tubes- not pleasant.

I have no idea how you keep a house clean and sell it so quickly with small children. Super impressed.

More pics and stories please!
